The Photo Transfer App is not only an excellent tool to get your photos and videos off your device onto your computer and visa versa with ease, but it’s as well versatile!
The Photo Transfer App with it’s many features including in app plugins such as DropBox, Google Drive and Flikr make it stand out above all the rest. With the ability to transfer photos and videos from your device to computer and visa versa over wifi opens up a wide range of possibilities especially for the Photography community.
As a photographer you’re always taking pictures of the world and sharing them with friends, family or clients. If you couple the Photo Transfer App with the free desktop app that you can install for our app, you will find transferring photos a breeze. It’s quick and efficient and when you’re a photographer on the fly, there’s no better option! Not only will the Photo Transfer App transfer your photos but it also transfers RAW formatted files and will maintain the files original resolution. There’s no modification to the photo(s) at all. This is ideal when moving photos from one device to another and not have to worry about loosing the quality of your photo(s).
Did you make your adjustments in Lightroom or PhotoShop and want to transfer it back to your device? No problem! Photo Transfer App will transfer your photo(s) in whatever manner they are presented or edited.

Launch our app on your device then launch our desktop app. Click on the album you wish to transfer to.

At the bottom of the Desktop App you will see a “upload to album” button at the bottom. Click on that.

Navigate to your desired folder where your photos are stored. Open the folder.

Click on the desired photo and then hold CTRL and LEFT CLICK on the next photo you want to transfer. You can do this on as many photos as you want to select!
Press OK or ENTER on your keyboard and then your transfer should initiate!
How to backup all your photos using the Photo Transfer Desktop App
In this walk through we will show you how to backup all your photos using the Photo Transfer Desktop app that you can install free
Make sure that your device is connected to the same wifi network as your computer. Launch the app on your device and computer.
On the desktop app click on Discover Devices.
Click on your device. Select Back Up Albums in the lower left hand corner of the app.
Choose the album you want to backup or you can Select All. Once you’ve chosen your photos you wish to backup, simply click Start Backup.
Once your files have finished backing up you can either Open Folder or press Ok. Opening the folder will allow you to view the photos backed up. Pressing OK will bring you to the desktop app again.
Note: Next time you use the backup feature using our app it will only backup the NEW photos. This should make the process go a lot faster.
In this walk through we will be explaining how to overcome the error Authorization “null” when trying to transfer between two iDevices. For example: iPhone to iPad.
Note: Our app requires this authorization to protect your privacy and only allow the connection to the devices that you authorize in the same network
Make sure you are using the latest version of our app which is currently 4.6 for iOS devices and 2.5.1 for Android devices.
Open the Photo Transfer app on both devices. After touching the “Explore Device” or “Get Photos and Videos” button you will then be prompted to authorize the connection between the two devices.
Allow authorization to both devices. Below you will find screenshots of what the sending and receiving devices should display.

Once you tap on “try again” after allowing authorization you will then be able to transfer to/from your devices.
In this walk through we will be showing you how to delete photos and albums from the iPad’s Photos App.
HOW TO DELETE PHOTOS FROM YOUR IPAD
Open up the Photos App on your iPad
Touch the ‘Photos’ menu on the top bar – this will basically display ALL photos on the iPad. (( You can also select Photos if you want to browse through all your photos instead of an individual album )).
Tap on ‘edit’ or the ‘arrow’ button (on iOS5) at the top right hand corner.
Tap on the photos you want to delete. Then tap on Delete at the top left hand corner.
A dialog box will pop up asking you to confirm if you wish to delete your photos everywhere. (( Be aware this will also delete your photos that are also in an album. This cannot be undone ))
REMOVING FROM AN ALBUM
Touch on the ‘Albums‘ menu on the top bar and then go inside of an album and then touch the ‘Edit‘ button to delete photos from an album – if it is the camera roll then that will delete the photo from all albums and if it is another album then it will delete it ONLY from that album and keep the photo in the camera roll.
HOW TO DELETE YOUR ALBUM(S)
NOTE: Only albums created directly inside of the ‘Photos’ app or albums created by Photo Transfer App (and other third party apps) can be deleted. Albums created via iTunes cannot be deleted using the ‘Photos’ app. Those albums need to be removed via iTunes
Tap on Edit at the top right hand corner in the Photos App
Go to the album you want to delete and tap on the “X”.
You will be asked to confirm if you want to delete your album. Tap DELETE.
Your album should now be deleted!
How To Preview your photos using the Windows Desktop App
Open the Photo Transfer App on both iDevice and Windows Computer
Click on “Discover Devices”
Once your device is discovered, you will then be able to choose which album you want to transfer to/from. Choose an album.
To view your photos before you transfer them you can click on View Image at the top left hand corner or simply Double Click on the photo you want to preview.
A dialog box will pop up allowing you to preview your photos. You can click on the left or right arrows to scroll through your album to view other photos in the album you wish to transfer from.

You can also copy the image to be pasted into a word document, for example, by using Copy Preview to Clipboard.
Desktop App Help Pages
This is a walk through on how to transfer from your device to windows computer and how to unzip your files via the web browser interface.
1. Tap on Send photos & videos
2. Tap on Windows Computer
3. Tap on Start Here under Use Web Browser on your Windows Computer
ON WINDOWS COMPUTER
1. Go to the web address provided by our app: http://connect.phototransferapp.com
2. Insert the IP address our app gives you. Make sure you keep the app running on your device and make sure that you type the IP address exactly as it appears in our app.
Click CONNECT once you’ve inserted the IP address
3. To start choosing your photos (or videos) to transfer click on the empty photo icon or Select photos & videos
4. Select the photo album or camera roll you want to transfer from. You can either click on the photos you want to transfer ( any photos selected will be indicated with a check mark) or you can click on Select All in page. This will select all the photos on that page to download.
Once you’ve finished selecting your photos click on View & Download
5. Click on Full Resolution to start the downloading process. Note: You can also choose to select medium resolution. Also from this page you can view the photos you are transferring.
6. A dialog box will pop up asking you to save a Photos.zip file. Click OK.
7. Once the Photos.zip file is on your windows desktop (or wherever your downloaded content is downloaded too) then Right Click and select Extract All. This will extract your photos in a full resolution to your desktop as a photos folder titled photos
Click EXTRACT ALL
